Designing my own line has been a dream ever since I was a little girl. I loved playing dress up and pretending to be a fashion designer. I would make dresses out of bed sheets and  use christmas lights to make a runway to practice my model walk. I imagined an audience of people that were there to support my fashions. I was always getting into my mom's and grandma's jewelry and sister's clothes just to see what new outfit I could make. I promised myself at a young age that I would grow up and make a career in fashion.

I come from generations of sewers and boutiques owners. My mother was a seamstress and master tailor and I learned many skills from her as I was growing up. One of the greatest skills that I learned from her was passion. Some may know, but a seamstress isn't exactly the highest paying job and we struggled a lot growing up. Out of all of the success and failures, she was still so passionate about her love and dream of being a seamstress. Because of her, I learned to never give up despite the struggle.

After attending college for fashion design, I packed up and headed to California to chase my dream. I landed dream jobs with some of the world's largest labels as a Technical Designer at the age of 21. When I was working on my grind and focusing on myself, I unexpectedly stumbled into the man of my dreams and fell in love. He was offered a job opportunity of a lifetime, but it was in another state.  I was faced with a tough decision. Finally, I chose to move with him and build my dream for myself there.

The biggest lesson that I have learned throughout life so far is that nothing will every be handed to you, you have to go out and get it with no fear and everything else will fall into place. Today I am taking my first official steps to follow my dream of opening my own label by opening Voxn Clothing. Each purchase you make get me one step closer to my dream. Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Erica Voxn
