Cinco De Mayo. Let's taco 'bout it.
Cinco De Mayo is a very honorable day for Mexico for the victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862. A celebration is now held on May 5th every year. A lot of places serve mexican style dishes and speciality drinks with tequila.

Have you been to the Reef? The Reef has the best margaritas and blended drinks. They also have a roof top patio that is all the rage. You can find us enjoying their happy hour and catching the live karaoke from Boise Rockeoke. Boise Rockeoke is a live band karaoke band that allows you to select from over 200 songs that you can sing with a live drummer, pianist, and guitar player. It's truly amazing. You have to check them out.
You can also find us going to pick up a taco from Aztec Tacos or The Funky Taco's newest location on the corner of 8th and Bannock. If you are looking for more of a sit down style, you can check out The Matador just a few doors down. There are many places to eat and shop in that area, so be sure to clear your schedule.
After that, you can find us making our way over to The Stil to enjoy some of their hottest (coldest) ice creams like their new, "Be Happy" flavor of honey and lavender. My absolute favorite. Oh! They also have bag toss/corn hole out front so you better check that out. You know that this Iowa girl is all about that.
Then we will stop in next door, of course, because that is where Voxn Clothing is. There are lots of styles to outfit us for a fun night on the town like the latest crop tops and bell bottoms. Want to spice it up?
